I can barely contain myself. 24 more hours until the Vikings Pre-Game! Go Purple People Eaters. Does anyone still call them that or am I old?
On another note, I’m enjoying this world of politics. It’s very interesting to be part of decisions that are being made that affect each of us every day. This morning I was at the River Heights & Dakota County Chamber Business & Industry Meeting with State Reps. Garafalo, Bigham, Hansen, Masin, Sterner, Obermueller & Senators Gerlach & Carlson. Job creation was a top priority across the aisle. Seven a.m. was a little early for me, but they had good coffee.
Real Estate News
We’ve got a new addition to Karin Housley Homes HQ! We coerced Susan Anderson, who has been working in real estate for nine years to join forces with us. She will be managing our bevy of beautiful listings and bringing buyers to see homes. I could throw a joke in here about “how three women could get the work of ten men done in half the time,” but I won’t. We’ll see if my husband reads this far.
We have three new listings this week, one below, another in Autumn Ridge in Stillwater, and another on Hunter Hill in Wisconsin. If you know of anyone looking to buy or sell, please have them call me. We’re really good, smart, efficient & fun. Susan is also very nice. For everything under the Karin Housley Headquarters Umbrella, from Radio Show, to Facebook, to Senate Site to Twitter…it’s at KarinHousley.com.

The Karin Housley Show -
We have a great show today! We’re going to be talking with Pat Effenberger of the Pioneer Press about the Medallion Hunt. Get out your Uggs & hand warmers, the clues come out Sunday! Also, we’re going to talk to last year’s winner, the father/daughter team of Joe & Jess Horwath to get some tips. Julie is going to bring her dog named Blue to see if that will help her in the clue quest for the $10,000. Tune in tomorrow morning at 10:00 on AM 1220 on the dial, or www.klbbradio.com on the web. Click Listen Live. We’ll also be talking real estate, events coming up in the area and as always, a little Hollywood gossip from our girl on the street, @KateLarson (Twitter). Julie will also bring us a couple of quick & easy appetizers to make for the Vikings game. (I hope she brings them to the studio and just doesn’t talk about it.)
Hockey News
– Here are the Suburban East Conference Standings. Stillwater plays Hastings tomorrow at 3:00 in Hastings. Woodbury plays Cretin. Cottage Grove plays East Ridge, and the boys from White Bear are still out in the snow looking for their shoes.
Plugs this week – Who’s got the best burger in the St. Croix River Valley?
Six restaurants in Stillwater are vying for the title of the 2010 Best Burger in the Valley — and it’s all to benefit the Minnesota-Dakotas Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The six restaurants hoping to win are Brine’s Restaurant & Bar, Dock Cafe, Leo’s Grill & Malt Shop, Mad Capper Saloon & Eatery, Meister’s German Bar & Grill and Smalley’s Caribbean Barbeque. Here’s how it works: Purchase a Best Burger card for $20 at Alesci Furniture Gallery, Alfresco Casual Living, Red Rover Kids, Trade Wind Spice Company, Dock Cafe, Leo’s, Mad Capper or Meister’s. From now until March 31, you can take the card to the competing restaurants and redeem it for a free burger. After you’ve tried all the burgers, you can vote for your favorite online or by mail. Voting ends April 15, and the winning restaurant will be announced in late April. For information, go to BestBurgerInTheValley.org .
Go Vikings!

P.S. Julie has thrown her energy into the Massachusetts Senate Race in support of Scott Brown for “Ted Kennedy’s Seat.” She took next Tuesday off to watch the big vote on Fox News and was last seen carrying a case of wine out of Haskells. Please peeps of Mass, do the right thing. I need her.
